Student Government membership is an honor and a privilege to all those who undertake the task of representing the fine institution of El Segundo High School. You are expected to follow all school rules and regulations so that you may set an example for all other students. In addition, you will be expected to follow certain standards during school hours and especially during meetings. This includes respect for your officers, your Activities Director, and your administrators as outlined in the “Character Counts” six pillar program. The six pillars are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, caring, fairness, and citizenship. These six qualities are in addition to integrity, initiative, and honesty that are expected from each Student Government member. You are expected to dedicate your time fully and volunteer for many events. Your grade will be based on your enthusiasm and attitude in and out of class. Our success this year depends upon the willingness of this class to work hard and strive for excellence.
